Who?
Since summer term 2008, the federal state of Burgenland grants students with their primary residence in Burgenland, who are studying at an Austrian university, polytechnic or pedagogic college, a subsidy on the cost of using public transport at their place of study.
How long?
Different varieties of network cards (e.g. term or month tickets, zones etc.) are in place at different places of study.
The subsidy can be granted until age 27.
How much?
The subsidy is 50% of the ticket price.
Application:
Applications are handled via the Gemeindeamt (local authority), the subsidy will be transferred to the applicant’s account by the federal state of Burgenland.
